Seminar Outline:
1.) Introduction
2.) History of Hauntings & Paranormal
Investigation
A general lecture (with slide show) on the history of haunting's
and paranormal research as well as true stories of some
of the most popular ghostly encounters in history.
3.) Para-Theology - What is
a ghost?
We will discuss some of the popular and not so popular theories
pertaining to the energy make up of a ghost as well as some
of the ways paranormal energy is believed to affect not
only our environment but our minds and bodies.
4.) Environmental Science
An interactive demonstration and discussion about the scientific
principles of environmental energy. We will demonstrate
the electric fields in the atmosphere and discuss the differences
between the eddy currents and capacitive energy (found in
the human body) and electric currents found in appliances
and electric devices around the house.
5.) Equipment and Evidence Demonstration:
An interactive discussion and hands on demonstration of
the uses and scientific principles behind some of the most
popular research equipment, also Real video, photo and audio
evidence is shown and a general discussion/lecture is given
on the origin of the evidence as well as the various ways
it may be interpreted
A.) Meters, Thermometers and
Gauges - Learn how to use them and how they work!
We will discuss EMF Meters, Geiger Counters, Infrared Thermometers,
Humidity Sensors, Motion Detectors and Ion Detectors.
B.) Recorders - Analog and Digital
- We will discuss how each device actually works and what
the theories are behind their usefulness in the field.
* EVP's - Capturing and evaluating EVP's
and the debate behind their assessment.
* The Faraday Principle - A live demonstration
of of the Faraday principle as well as a discussion of how
a Faraday cage can actually help with your evidence analysis.
C.) Cameras - Video, Film, Digital
and Thermal
We will discuss the benefits and drawbacks of each format
as well as the proper techniques and software used in their
analysis.
* Orbs - A definitive discussion and
interactive demonstration about the capture and controversy
of photo orbs. How they can be misinterpreted and when they're
not.
* Video - The rarest of evidence gets
a good hard look as we discuss why so much video evidence
remains to be inconclusive.
6.) Investigation Techniques
A lecture on the field techniques and investigation
methods of modern research groups. We will discuss group
and team research protocols as well as the use and effects
of mediums in modern investigations.
7.) Physiological Science - The
Human Antenna
An interactive demonstration and discussion on the scientific
principles and physiological impacts of paranormal energy.
We will also demonstrate how the human body can act as an
antenna when searching for anomalous fields.
8.) Closing and Video Footage/Interviews
We will lecture on the future of paranormal research and
show a video of actual investigations and interviews with
some of the most respected names in modern psychical research.
