Michael J. Baker
Founding Partner
Born in Boston, Massachusetts in 1971, Mike
Baker took an interest in the world of entertainment at the
early age of 15 when he joined a local rock group and began
studying music. After 14 years he had successfully established
himself in the local music scene as not only a competent musician,
but also as well respected musical instrument technician,
repairing and restoring guitars for such artists as Billy
Joel and Eric Clapton.
"For
me, working with film allows for a much greater level
of artistic creativity in comparison to photography
or music production. It's almost like building a house
instead of just painting a picture of one."
~ Mike Baker |
In January 2001, following
a 2 year stint as professional disc jockey, his interests
shifted to the world of video and in September of 2001 he
founded Digital
3 Media, a commercial and wedding video production company.
In 2006, in a effort to express a more creative side of video
production, he and long-time friend, Anthony Monti, co-founded
New Gravity Media and began production on
the company's very first feature film "14
Degrees".
